Join us for a hike on “The Ridge,” a new Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy (GTRLC) project that will help safeguard the water quality of Grand Traverse Bay, save wildlife habitat, and open up recreational opportunities. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Grand Traverse Bay and beyond, as far as Leelanau County and Charlevoix, and learn about this 312-acre property’s diverse habitats, including 64 acres of wetlands and 7,100 feet of stream frontage. This expansive property could soon become a crown jewel in the area's outdoor recreation network. With an elevation of roughly 880 feet, it is one of the highest points in Grand Traverse County. Come prepared for a 2.5-mile hike on strenuous terrain, which will take approximately 2 hours of walking time and five information stops. We will walk over a 200-ft elevation change, with a steep climb up to the top and some unstable footing.
