Sunday Walk & Talk Hike with Leelanau Conservancy
Sunday 8:30 am - 9:30 am /
DeYoung Natural Area / Leelanau County

Join the Leelanau Conservancy for a guided “Walk & Talk” exploring the organization’s Indigenous Knowledges Project. Conservancy staff members Jenee Rowe and Sara Michael will lead participants on a relaxed walk along the DeYoung Farmsteads upland trails, offering time to connect with the landscape. Following the walk, attendees are invited into the historic farmhouse for coffee and conversation. Jenee and Sara will share insights into the Indigenous Knowledges Project, why it matters, how it shapes the Conservancy’s work, and its importance to the broader land trust and local community. Come for the walk, stay for the conversation, and leave with a deeper appreciation of the land and the Indigenous voices that help us understand it.

Presented with support from Leelanau Conservancy
